The Kasalan sa Sitio Tiombocan being administered by Lupon Mayor Lim, witnessed by huge crowd of couple friends and relatives, was held at a very hinterland Sitio of Tiombocan, Barangay Marayag this town.

 “Kasal” or “Kasalan” refers to the word wedding. And for a Filipino, a wedding is no small thing, even if it’s just a small gathering. It’s a big production, with a lot of traditions, superstitions and pre- and post- wedding events.

Mrs. Erma V. Ulan-olan, Municipal Civil Registrar and Vice-Mayor Juan Maralit Jr. was also present to give more significance to the event along with all other Sangguniang Bayan members who were also present to grace the occasion, Hon. Rey Suriba, Hon. Romeo Bote, Jr., Hon. Capistrano Roflo, Jr., and Hon. Robert Simbahon, Hon. Cenon Angsinco, Hon. Bernardita Salazar and Hon. Kent Evangelista.

The couples were very thankful to Mayor Lim for his full support to the program since all the discounts cannot be granted without the approval of the mayor. They also extended their gratitude to the members of the Sangguniang Bayan for their full support to all the programs of the local chief executive. Mayor Lim also gave his appreciation to all the couple who answered to the Kasalan ng Bayan program.

The Mayor gave remarks and stated that what is important is to have a sustainable relationship, respect to one another and be a responsible parent to your children, for them to have a bright future.
